This week we did a Panama Canal STEM Challenge to learn about a North American innovation in social studies, to practice research skills for reading, and to develop our writing skills for language arts. We used this link to introduce the challenge each day: Panama Canal Padlet Wall. Check it out!
On Monday, students watched a video and discussed questions to build background knowledge. Then they posted their answers on the Padlet wall.
On Tuesday, they built a clay model of the Panama Canal.
On Wednesday, they animated the model using the Stop Motion app.
On Thursday, they wrote news reports about the Panama Canal.
And today, these kiddos have used Telegami Edu to create animated news reports. These turned out great! Way to go, friends!
